Kristina Diaz, MSN, CNL, RN
Kristina Diaz is the Nurse Quality Manager for the Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative (ILPQC), supporting the perinatal mental health and TeamBirth initiatives. She has over 10 years of experience in advocacy and healthcare, specializing in communications, nursing, project management, and quality improvement.
Prior to her role with ILPQC, Kristina was a Research Project Manager at Northwestern University where she supported two state-wide collaboratives focused on surgical quality improvement and cancer care. Additionally, she was a Clinical Nurse Leader at Loyola Medicine. There, she implemented evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and staff retention. An IL registered nurse, she worked bedside for eight years before transitioning into a leadership role and has been actively involved in staff education, patient advocacy, and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to increased patient satisfaction and unit excellence.
She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Rush University and a Certificate in Global Health from Oregon Health & Science University. Her blend of advanced education and practical experience drives her commitment to quality improvement and effective team collaboration in healthcare settings.
